Dear Families,

During the next several weeks, parents and children will be invited to meet with teachers for our fall Parent-Child-Teacher conferences. This is an important time for sharing our understanding about children’s competencies and interests, and for setting goals for their learning.

The first conference of the year helps all of us to realize how we can most effectively work together to best enhance each child’s learning. Your child will be able to share what he or she is enjoying about learning and school, and ways that he or she would like our support. We will create together a list of the child’s Strengths and Goals, helping us to set the child’s learning course for the year.

Classroom teachers will post sign-up sheets for conferences. These will be scheduled at various times between October 12 and November 13. Of course, if there is a need for a conference at another time during the year, we will find agreeable times for additional conferences.
